The Nigerian Exchange (NGX) increased in value on Monday after the market capitalisation closed at N160.60 trillion. According to the NGX, the market capitalisation surged by N1.04 trillion from the N159.55 trillion reported on Friday. The bourse reported that the all-share index (ASI) increased by 707.34 basis points, from 246,992.44 ASI to 247,699.78 ASI. The traders on the NGX exchanged N27.25 billion for 407.85 million shares in 52,322 deals, down from Friday's N73.41 billion traded for 2.24 billion shares in 42,709 deals. Top Five Gainers Zichis' share price increased by N1.65 kobo, from N16.55 kobo to N18.20 kobo per share. Aradel's share ended trading at N1,570 per share, from N1,489.80 kobo per share – indicating an increase of N80.20 kobo. NSLTECH's share value grew by 4.29 percent, from N0.70 kobo to N0.73 kobo per share. International Breweries' share appreciated by N0.30 kobo to end trading at N10.25 kobo, having opened at N9.95 kobo. MTN Nigeria share value was up by N19.90 kobo, after closing at N832.90 kobo, from N813 per share. Top Five Losers Omatek's share price depreciated by N0.17 kobo, dwindling from N1.70 kobo to N1.53 kobo per share. Caverton recorded a N0.45 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N4.05, after opening at N4.50 kobo. FGSUK2027S3 reported an N8.47 kobo decline in its share price to end trading at N86, after opening at N86 per share. CMFC lost N0.26 kobo in its share price, to sell at N2.38 kobo, down from N2.64 kobo per share. Sunu Assurance reported a decline of N0.31 kobo, from the previous share price of N3.29 kobo, to end trading at N2.98 kobo per share. Top Five Trading Equities Access Holdings reported that 40.03 million shares valued at N1.18 billion were traded on its floor. FCMB recorded 25.63 million shares valued at N297.65 million. Sterling Financial Holdings Company saw investors trade 18.06 million of its shares valued at N136.90 million. GTCO recorded 16.96 million shares exchanged on its floor, worth N2.23 billion. Nigerian Breweries reported that traders exchanged 14.45 million shares valued at N1.18 billion.
