ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan and Uzbekistan have agreed to further deepen economic relations, including by increasing bilateral trade and investment opportunities and strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries. Pakistan's Ambassador to Uzbekistan Muhammad Mudassar Tipu met Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjayev, with the two sides holding detailed discussions on promoting economic cooperation. The Pakistani ambassador congratulated the Uzbek deputy prime minister on Uzbekistan's 35th Independence Day and appreciated the country's achievements in various fields since gaining independence. On the occasion, Khodjayev said the vast potential for economic cooperation could be utilised by mobilising government institutions, the business communities and chambers of commerce in both countries. Ambassador Muhammad Mudassar Tipu assured that Pakistan remained committed to achieving shared economic objectives.
