This initiative aims to enhance grassroots football and elevate coaching standards nationwide. The course will take place at Liberty Stadium in Dansoman. It will be conducted in two batches. The first session is from 12 to 21 September, while the second runs from 23 to 30 September. This program targets aspiring coaches. It will equip them with essential technical knowledge and practical skills for their coaching careers. Participants will engage in an intensive mix of classroom instruction and hands-on sessions. The GFA aims to provide a solid foundation in football principles through this approach. The training focuses on those working at the grassroots level, where young players receive initial guidance. A significant component of the course is GFA/FIFA Safeguarding training. This training emphasizes participants' responsibilities for protecting young players' welfare and development. Safeguarding education is part of a broader curriculum. Coaches will gain not only technical expertise but also an understanding of their duties towards children and young athletes. This initiative aligns with the GFA's plan to cultivate a larger pool of qualified coaches across Ghana. These coaches are expected to identify talent, nurture players, and guide them during early development stages. By expanding access to structured coaching education, the GFA seeks to strengthen domestic football foundations. This effort aims to improve coaching quality at grassroots levels. Professor Joseph Kwame Mintah, GFA Technical Director, and Dr Prosper Nartey, Head of Coach Education, will oversee the course. They will provide technical direction throughout both batches. The sessions aim to integrate formal learning, practical coaching work, and safeguarding education into one comprehensive program for aspiring professionals.
