Séamus Power improved his chances of earning full PGA Tour status for next year by clinching his best finish of the season at the Biltmore Championship Asheville in North Carolina. The West Waterford man (39) closed with a bogey-free, five-under 66 to tie for seventh ($157,084/€136,705) on 20 under, six shots behind winner Jacob Bridgeman ($900.000). Power started the Fall Series ranked 114th in the FedEx Cup standings but moved up to 104th with six starts remaining after clinching his third top-10 this season. Bridgeman, who claimed his maiden win at February's Genesis Invitational, closed with a 10-under 61 to beat rookie Ben James, who also shot 61, by two strokes. JT Poston narrowly missed from 27 feet at his final hole for a 59 and tapped in for a 60, finishing joint fifth at 21 under as Bridgeman made an eagle and eight birdies in his 61.
