Páraic K, recently banished from Traitors Ireland, discusses the perceived gender bias in the game, suggesting that male players are not held to the same emotional standards as female players. He observes that only women were being targeted for banishment and criticizes the lack of introspection among the male players. Despite his exit, he acknowledges that Traitor Carla made the correct strategic decision by targeting Aoife and Donal. Another day, another Traitor banished from the Traitors Ireland castle. Last night it was Páraic K, who went so far as to slip up and pretty much say he was a Traitor at the Round Table. But Páraic knew it was coming. He also knew that Carla was likely to recruit Aoife… especially seeing the amount of heat she's been getting. 'There just seems to be this channelling of really, really, really severe accusations,' he says. 'I personally didn't think Aoife's reaction was all that bad, I feel like they're going into these micro expressions. And it leaves me a question: is there a gender dynamic at play here? ' Páraic isn't the only one who seems to think this. Just yesterday, Saoirse said that she thinks there's aA post shared by RTÉ Player 'There's never an expectation for male players to have particular emotional responses, in my view, but it seems that when a female player doesn't behave in a particular kind of way… 'There seems to be a script that women in the game are expected to follow, that the guys aren't meant to follow. There was definitely a 'lads, lads, lads' vibe, let me tell you. It was turning my stomach because they were refusing to look inwards. 'I remember, in particular with Anna, I was kind of going, why aren't the guys looking inwards? It's just women getting banished. I don't understand this. And my logic with that was serial killers will always will never kill within their own kind of profile. ' One person Páraic did get on with was his fellow Traitor Carla. She may not have defended him at the last Round Table, but Páraic says he would have made the same move. 'Carla has made the 100% correct decision in this game, and I would absolutely have done the exact same thing,' he says. 'If Carla had been banished and it was me still there, I would have gone for Aoife and Donal to throw under the bus. Carla's made a great game there, bringing in one of them would get her that little bit further. 'They're next for the table for the chop, in my view, they're getting the most heat, that heat is not going. So if she pulls this off and pulls off a master stroke, she possibly might guarantee herself the Endgame. And by the way, by God, I hope she does. ' And for Páraic's predictions? He's hoping Carla will go all the way: 'She an absolutely fantastic, amazing, phenomenal girl. I love her. And she's playing a blinder. 'We both were playing from the same hymn sheet of 'ruthless'. I want that girl to get to the Endgame and win. '
