A bizarre mistake during WWE's Sunday Night's Main Event caught some fans off guard and left them wondering what happened. WWE moved the Saturday Night's Main Event concept to Sunday Night in Atlanta on Labor Day weekend, where four big matches took place. In the lone women's match on the show, the trio of Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss & Tatum Paxley faced off against their rival group consisting of Jade Cargill, B-Fab & Michin. Since wrestling fans have such a keen eye and never seem to miss anything, fans on social media pointed out that when Paxley made her entrance, a graphic of former WWE superstar Kelly Kelly appeared on the screen briefly before Paxley's Titantron kicked in. Kelly Kelly's titantron during Tatum Paxley's entrance? 😭 #SNME pic.twitter.com/pd7ieVuUel — PW Chronicle (@_PWChronicle) September 7, 2026 Expand Tweet The former WWE Divas Champion Kelly Kelly wrestled for WWE from June 2006, when she was just 19, and retired about six years later in 2012 at age 25. Since she 'retired' so young, Kelly came back for some other appearances over the years, including two Women's Royal Rumbles, and she was the first woman to win the 'coveted' 24/7 Title. Does this mean Kelly Kelly will come back to WWE soon? There's no indication of that because she's moved on from wrestling as a mother with kids. It's likely just a case of someone on the WWE production team pressing the wrong button, but it was quickly forgotten. Tatum Paxley's team took the loss at Sunday Night's Main Event when she was pushed into Charlotte Flair, which led to Jade Cargill hitting Jaded on Flair to win the match. WWE Sunday Night's Main Event Had Multiple Controversial Finishes In addition to the 6-woman tag team match, WWE Sunday Night's Main Event had other matches that were more controversial. The opening match saw Trick Williams regain the United States Championship from Baron Corbin after Trick's buddy Lil Yachty survived five minutes against Corbin to give Trick a shot at the title. Corbin tried to use the US Title to hit Trick and win the match as he had done in the past, but it didn't work this time. Trick found a way to win. Oba Femi's match against Bron Breakker was supposed to decide who the ' future ' of WWE is, but it ended in controversy when Bronson Reed made his return to active competition by hitting Femi with a steel chair. That led to a disqualification. Reed and Breakker beat up Femi after the match, which let the audience know that The Vision is back together again. In the main event, Randy Orton survived a bloody battle against Cody Rhodes in a match that saw two referees get bumped, including when Orton hit Rhodes and a referee with a low blow at the same time. Orton followed up with an RKO on Rhodes for the tainted victory. The next PLE is WWE Money in the Bank on Saturday, October 10th in New Orleans.
