Classes Suspended in Multiple Regions Due to Heavy Rains and Flooding

The ongoing inclement weather, characterized by heavy rains and flooding from the Southwest Monsoon and cyclones, has prompted the suspension of classes in several municipalities. Affected areas, including Calaca, Cuenca, Lian, and Taal, have transitioned to alternative learning modes to protect students and staff. A broader rainfall alert has also been issued for various provinces. Classes for Tuesday, September 8, 2026, have been suspended in select areas due to the adverse effects of heavy rains and flooding caused by the Southwest Monsoon ( Habagat) and recent cyclones. The following municipalities have shifted to alternative modes of learning delivery: Calaca, Cuenca, Lian, Taal, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Maragondon, Naic, Tagaytay, and Trece Martires. In addition, a rainfall alert has been issued, with orange warnings in Zambales, Bataan, and four other regions, and a yellow warning in Metro Manila.
