The PM Fuel Relief Scheme is now operating across Pakistan, providing Rs100 per litre in petrol relief to eligible users. The government launched the scheme to support people facing higher fuel costs. The latest changes came after feedback from beneficiaries. The government has now removed the minimum five-litre purchase requirement for motorcycles and three-wheelers. Rs500 Weekly Token for Motorcycles and Rickshaws Motorcycle, Qingqi and rickshaw users can now receive a Rs500 weekly token. They can use the token to buy petrol in any quantity. Each eligible user can receive one token every week. The scheme provides up to four tokens per month. The government has also expanded eligibility to older vehicles. Motorcycles, Qingqi rickshaws and other three-wheelers registered on or after January 1, 2006, can now register for the scheme. 800cc Cars Retain Existing Relief The existing arrangement for vehicles up to 800cc remains unchanged. Eligible users can receive Rs100 per litre in relief on 10 litres every 10 days. Therefore, they can receive three 10-litre tokens each month. Free Registration SMS Service Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif directed authorities to make registration messages free for eligible citizens. The government is also working to make registration and fuel redemption easier. Officials have been directed to address payment issues and provide alternatives in areas with limited internet connectivity. Scheme Expanded After Public Feedback The latest changes followed feedback received during the first days of the nationwide rollout. According to the official announcement, the government aims to ensure that eligible beneficiaries can access the relief without unnecessary hurdles. The scheme initially provided Rs500 weekly relief for two- and three-wheelers. It also provided Rs1,000 every 10 days for eligible cars up to 800cc. Fuel Relief Scheme Continues Nationwide The PM Fuel Relief Scheme continues to provide targeted support to eligible vehicle users across Pakistan. With the latest changes, smaller fuel purchases can qualify for the weekly motorcycle and rickshaw token. The government has also widened eligibility for older two- and three-wheelers.
