Pastille, which specialises in cruffins, cookies, cakes and pastries, has moved into the Baltic Triangle, occupying a cosy unit on Bridgewater Street. Pastille found its footing a warehouse unit in Gibraltar Row - just north of Liverpool's financial district. The bakery became one of the best in the country after fewer than two years when the prestigious Good Food Guide revealed its best bakery list, with Pastille the only business in all of Merseyside to be honoured. Speaking to the ECHO following the Good Food Guide announcement, owner Jamie Heffey said: "We are blown away. Never did we see this coming. We just keep ourselves busy and try to keep creative and offer our customers something unique and a bit different. We've not even been open two years yet so to be rewarded like this is such an honour. "You've just got to keep going. This was by no means a single handed effort. One hell of a support network, investors, great suppliers and a team of pastry chefs that could rival the best of the best. Well done [everyone at Pastille] this is just the start, we go again."
