MG News September 09, 2026 (MLN): Dynea Pakistan Limited (PSX: DYNO) reported a 25% increase in its net profit for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2026, reaching Rs1.09bn compared to Rs867.65m in the preceding year. Alongside the financial results, the board recommended a final cash dividend of Rs9.25 per share. Reflecting this solid bottom-line growth, basic and diluted earnings per share (EPS) for the year improved to Rs57.58, up from Rs45.97 in FY25. The primary catalyst behind the performance was top-line revenue expansion coupled with a 25% surge in gross margins. Net turnover grew by 18% year-on-year to Rs15.06bn, up from Rs12.73bn in FY25. Although cost of sales increased by 17% to Rs12.25bn, strong turnover growth enabled gross profit to expand to Rs2.82bn compared to Rs2.25bn in the prior year. On the operational front, overheads expanded to support higher commercial scale. Distribution costs rose 32% to Rs616.72m and administrative expenses grew 30% to Rs518.12m. While the reversal for expected credit loss decreased 67% to Rs24.21m, operational cost pressures were offset by a 113% surge in "other income" (rising to Rs281.36m from Rs131.85m), pushing operating profit up by 25% to Rs1.99bn. Below the operating line, DYNO absorbed higher finance and operational charges. Finance costs rose 31% to Rs42.49m, while other expenses increased 14% to Rs154.94m. Despite these outlays, strong core gross profit gains and secondary income growth drove profit before taxation up 26% to Rs1.79bn. The company absorbed a 27% higher corporate income tax charge of Rs702.47m for the year (up from Rs553.82m in FY25). Supported by top-line growth, gross margin expansion, and a multi-fold boost in other income, Dynea Pakistan Limited securely closed the fiscal year with its net profit reaching Rs1.09bn.
