The Albanian Parliament has a new deputy speaker as of today.
During today's plenary session, it was voted to entrust this task to Socialist MP Evis Kushi, with 79 votes in favor.
Evis Kushi was born in Elbasan, on October 7, 1975. He completed his higher education at the University of Tirana, Faculty of Economics, Business Administration branch. He also studied at Staffordshire University, England, PhD in Tourism Economics, from 2003-2008.
From 1998 to 2013 she was a lecturer at the 'Aleksandër Xhuvani' University in Elbasan. In the academic year 2008-2009 she was a lecturer at the State University of Tetova, Faculty of Economics, Macedonia. In the years 2012-2013 she was the dean of the Faculty of Economics at the 'Aleksandër Xhuvani' University in Elbasan.
Kushi was elected as a Socialist Party MP in the Elbasan district in 2013.
Kushi was elected today as Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, replacing Klodiana Spahiu, who was appointed Minister of Health and Social Protection a few days ago. /CNA
