Plagued by toxic green algae blooms, Lake Elsinore has a less than glamorous reputation, and is better known for an infamous serial killer or wild brawls at In-N-out than multi-million dollar cars and fancy homes. 'The city loves us,' Said told Autoweek. 'I've had the opportunity to drive some of the best race tracks ever built,' Said said on the track's AI-glam website. 'And that experience has inspired a dream to build the ultimate private motorsport country club right here in Southern California.' While some grand dreams run out of fuel before a shovel hits the dirt, Said told Autoweek that funding is already lined up and planning is underway, with Hermann Tilke's firm Tilke Engineers and Architects designing the track.
