North Bay police seize $23,000 in drug bust

As part of an ongoing Street Crime Unit investigation, members of the Emergency Response Team conducted a traffic stop on Aug. 28 around 8 p.m. involving one of the accused in the 800 block of Worthington Street East. The accused, Israel Barnes, 21, male, of Oshawa, has been charged with: Four Counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking Possession of Proceeds of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 Trafficking in Schedule I Substance The co-accused, Robbie Hogg, 55, male, of Durham, has been charged with: Two Counts of Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking The accused, Barnes, was arrested and upon search officers seized suspected fentanyl, cocaine and Canadian currency.
