秋雨前線などの影響で日本列島は７日、関東を中心に記録的な大雨となった。気象庁は伊豆諸島の東京都新島村、大島町、利島村に、レベル５土砂災害特別警報を発表した。特別警報の発表は今季６例目。福島県ではアンダーパスで車が水没し、女性が死亡した。８月に豪雨に見舞われた千葉県では再び冠水被害が出た。
