Apple is reportedly planning to begin pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max on September 12, a day later than the company's usual Friday schedule following an iPhone launch event. Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and its first foldable iPhone Ultra at an event on September 9. The event is expected to take place on a Wednesday, with Apple traditionally opening pre-orders on the Friday immediately after its iPhone announcements. Apple may shift pre-order date This year, however, September 11 falls on the Friday after the expected launch event. According to the latest report, Apple could move the pre-order date to Saturday, September 12, because of the historical significance of September 11 in the United States. The timing could also change, with Apple reportedly considering starting pre-orders at midnight Pacific Time instead of its usual 5am PT schedule. iPhone Ultra availability could differ The reported pre-order schedule is also expected to apply to the Apple Watch Series 12 and other products Apple may announce during the September 9 event. However, the first foldable iPhone, reportedly known as the iPhone Ultra, could follow a different timeline. Previous reports have suggested that Apple may unveil the foldable alongside the iPhone 18 Pro models but release it later, potentially meaning its pre-orders could begin after those of the Pro and Pro Max. Apple has not officially confirmed the September 9 event date, pre-order schedule or release timeline for its upcoming devices.
