ORMARA , Sept 7: The Anjuman-e-Tajran and All Parties have called off their proposed shutter-down strike in Ormara following successful negotiations with Assistant Commissioner Dr Mahnoor Barkat, with routine commercial activities resuming in the town.
During the meeting, Dr Mahnoor Barkat listened to the concerns presented by representatives of the business community and assured them that their issues would be taken up through consultation and mutual understanding in accordance with the law.
She also assured the traders that the local administration would maintain close coordination with the business community and extend necessary cooperation to facilitate the resolution of their concerns.
Following the talks, Anjuman-e-Tajran Ormara President Baba Faheem Nasir announced the withdrawal of the shutter-down strike call, after which shops and other businesses resumed normal operations.
Tehsildar Ormara Noor Khan and local representatives, including Waja Syed Muhaim Jan, also held discussions with the Assistant Commissioner regarding the future course of action and other matters of mutual concern.
The administration reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining dialogue with citizens and the business community and resolving public issues through consultation, cooperation and lawful measures.
