Ahmedabad:
Rama Devi Kanneganti, president of the Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of India, on Sunday said that the next phase of growth for India will be based on strong domestic market along with progress of
digital economy
and the nation's young population. She was speaking at the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII) as she delivered the 8th VG Patel Memorial Lecture.
'India's economy is already around $3.9 trillion, and the country is moving towards becoming the world's third-largest economy. If we sustain strong growth and combine our domestic strength with manufacturing, digitalisation, innovation and exports, the opportunity ahead is enormous,' she said.
On the occasion, the Dr VG Patel National Memorial Awards were also announced for the entrepreneurship trainer, educator and mentor for 2025. Some of the awardees included Dr Pradeep Srivastava from Indian Institute of Technology (BHU) Varanasi, Balram Sankaran from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences & Technology (SCTIMST), and Rama Devi Kanneganti from Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of India (ALEAP).
