Man killed in shootout at downtown Nashville apartment garage

A man was killed in a shootout at 9:15 a.m. Sept. 7 in an apartment building parking garage at 1200 Broadway, according to a release by Metro Nashville police. "Efforts are underway to positively ID him," police wrote in a 12:24 p.m. post on the social media site X. Investigators haven't disclosed anything about a possible motive or whether they believe one or more suspects are responsible. The case remains under investigation.
