The Central girls soccer team split their first two games of the season, defeating Tri-City United 4-2 in the Aug. 27 season opener before a 4-3 loss to West Lutheran Aug. 29. Bethany Daugs had been tasked with taking over the lead-scoring role after All-State forward Josie Kamps graduated, and the senior delivered in a big way. Daugs recorded a hat trick in the win over TCU and added two more in the second game. Claire Butler and Kielyn Rademacher got in on the scoring as well, with Butler scoring against the Titans and Rademacher scoring against the Warriors. Kate Strickfaden had three assists over the two games, one against TCU and two against West Lutheran. Ali Schrupp had one assist in the win over the Titans.
