LCCI reaffirms support for youth, calls for stronger industry-academia linkages

LAHORE - Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) President Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigol has reaffirmed the Chamber's commitment to supporting Pakistan's youth and promoting stronger linkages between industry and academia to equip young people with practical skills and better employment and entrepreneurship opportunities. He expressed these views during a meeting with a 30-member delegation of the Young Business Association Pakistan (YBA), Minhaj-ul-Quran International, here at Lahore Chamber on Saturday. The delegation was led by the YBA Chairman Altaf Hussain Randhawa. LCCI Executive Committee member Nadeem Ansari, along with Nauman Afzal Chaudhry, Ch Usman Afzal, Muhammad Masood, Farooq Shahbaz, Rana Muhammad Shoaib, Abdul Shahbaz, Abdul Rehman and Junaid Waheed were also present. The LCCI president said that youth are the country's most valuable asset and their active participation is essential for sustainable economic growth. He said that the business community and educational institutions must work together to bridge the gap between academic learning and the practical requirements of the market. Faheem-ur-Rehman Saigol said that LCCI fully supports initiatives aimed at connecting young people with industry, businesses and entrepreneurs. He assured the delegation that the Lahore Chamber would extend its cooperation and facilitate youth-oriented activities wherever possible. 'LCCI supports the youth and will continue to help young people connect with the business community, industry and professional opportunities,' he said. He encouraged the youth to actively participate in LCCI's seminars, workshops, exhibitions, networking sessions and other business-related events. He said that such platforms provide young people with opportunities to interact with established entrepreneurs, understand market trends, explore business opportunities and develop professional networks. He stressed that industry-academia linkage should be strengthened at all levels so that students and young professionals can acquire practical exposure alongside their academic education. This, he said, would help prepare the younger generation to meet the changing requirements of Pakistan's economy. Punjab fully prepared to deal with flood threat: Kh Salman Saigol said that LCCI would continue playing its role as a bridge between the business community, academia and youth, with a particular focus on entrepreneurship, skills development and opportunities for young people. The YBA Chairman Altaf Hussain Randhawa and the members of the delegation appreciated LCCI's initiatives for youth development and industry-academia collaboration and expressed their interest in further strengthening cooperation with the chamber.
