Thursday night, Brady Tkachuk gets to join in on the fun. The Hurricanes announced Tuesday that the two star forwards of the Florida Panthers will kick off Miami's home opener at Hard Rock Stadium by being the celebrity hurricane siren ringers. Go Ad-Free Miami, coming off a season-opening 45-6 win at Stanford last Friday night, opens against Florida A&M on Thursday at 8 p.m. Good seats are still available. Matthew Tkachuk was the first NHL player to ever be the celebrity guess picker on ESPN's College GameDay last September when the show was in Coral Gables before the Hurricanes beat the visiting Florida Gators. Tkachuk and a large number of his Panthers teammates attended the game, and a few returned throughout the season. The Hurricanes added the hurricane siren as part of its pregame celebration last year with team legends such as Jimmy Johnson, Michael Irvin, and Dan Morgan doing the honors before games.
