Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority to build 14-acre park in Sector 20

Noida: As residential and commercial activity gathers pace around Noida International Airport and Yamuna city area, YEIDA is set to develop a 14-acre central park in Sector 20. The park is expected to add a key public amenity to the emerging urban landscape around the airport. According to officials, the park will have large lawns, seasonal flower beds, landscaped areas, grassy mounds and dedicated walkways. Several varieties of flowering plants will be planted to improve the park's aesthetics. The plan also includes fountains, swings and other recreational facilities, providing residents with a sizeable green space for leisure, exercise and family activities. The authority's horticulture department has finalised the park's design and facilities. There's also a growing demand for residential land in the area under YEIDA's plot scheme, and the authority has received over one lakh applications after the scheme's introduction. In June alone, the authority allotted 973 residential plots near the airport. Around 20,000 residential plots have so far been allotted in YEIDA's Sectors 18 and 20.
