A Newark, Delaware woman was arrested for DWI following a motor vehicle stop on the Black Horse Pike near Wawa at 4231 Black Horse Pike, Washington Township police said..
Her three children, ages 11, 8 and 2, were passengers in the vehicle and were turned over to a family member at the scene, police said. She had a BAC of .12% and was charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child, police said. The woman was not identified by police.
On another incident, employees at the McDonald's on Black Horse Pike contacted officers about an intoxicated man inside the restaurant with a small child, police said. Employees reported that the man was slurring his speech and having difficulty walking, police said.
A Collings Lakes man was subsequently arrested for DWI and endangering the welfare of a child, police said. He was not identified by police.
