Football Recap: Timber Creek Pulls Away from East River

East River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The matchup between the Falcons and the Timber Creek Wolves didn't end well, with the Falcons falling 28-14. Although East River took the loss, they still got scores from Jahdiel Grobsmith and Jiovanni Smith. Timber Creek got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jermaine Washington out in front who rushed for 189 yards and 1 TD while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. Another player making a difference was Harper Benton, who picked up 107 receiving yards and a pair of scores. East River's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Timber Creek, they are now 2-1, having gone 4-3 since their three-game losing streak (dating back to last season) ended. Coming up, East River will head out to square off against Lake Howell at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Falcons' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Timber Creek, they have the luxury of staying home for another week and will welcome Dr. Phillips at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
