The clearing of the pavements is directly linked to the completion of major repairs to Gagarin Avenue, during which around 15,000 square metres of road surface were renewed. Modern infrastructure has been established in place of the unauthorised stalls: convenient footpaths have been laid, a dedicated cycle lane has been marked out, new green spaces have been created, and organised parking spaces have been provided. The city administration emphasises that the revitalised public space has been integrated with elements of modern street furniture and seamlessly connected to the previously reconstructed Decebal Avenue.
