The Red Devils have made their final decision on the U21 striker. Obi will go for another loan spell with Willem II. Man United have made up their mind on Obi's transfer. As reported by The Mirror, the Red Devils excluded him and Amass from the U21 squad's Leicester game as well. Although it is not officially confirmed yet, both the players might leave Old Trafford soon. Previously, Obi was part of Copenhagen's youth academy. The 18-year-old had joined the Red Devils last year, after honing his skills at the Arsenal youth academy between 2020 and 2024. He was loaned out to Willem II a couple of weeks ago. Now he is set for another loan spell with the club, as reported by BBC. Chido Obi needs to sort his fitness problems out before this summer. The Danish forward was forced off the pitch with a head injury during a game against Chelsea in March 2026. If Obi is to be a big influence in club football he has to be consistent in his discipline and level of fitness. He cannot afford to be injured again and again. Man United meanwhile are undergoing a serious transformation. Ever since Michael Carrick took over as the new team manager in early 2026, the team is working on a stronger, more agile side for the 2026-27 season. Carrick wants to end the long drought for the Premier League title. Within five months of joining Man United as interim manager, Carrick had given them a respectable third-place finish in the 2025-26 League table. He has also experienced the golden days with the club as a former team player. He is ready to do whatever it takes to bring back the lost pride for the Red Devils. Apart from that, Man United are on an aggressive buying spree, signing one player after another.
