TFE Hotels has announced a $100 million investment program to upgrade first-generation Adina apartment hotels across Australia and Europe.
The investment will fund upgrades to guest rooms, public spaces and hotel amenities at selected Adina properties in Australia and Europe. The program covers existing hotels as Adina opens new hotels in Australia, Europe and the United Kingdom.
Adina Darling Harbour in Sydney has undergone a multi-million-dollar reinvestment. Bates Smart designed the refurbishment of the 114-room hotel, including changes to guest rooms, the lobby, restaurant and pool areas. The refurbishment includes layered textures, organic forms, and harbour blues, seafoam greens and oyster shell tones. A new restaurant has opened to the lobby and pool areas.
The Darling Harbour property first opened ahead of the Sydney 2000 Olympics. Recent investments also include Adina Perth and Adina Town Hall in Sydney, which underwent a top-to-bottom refurbishment last year. The Adina Perth work drew on the colors and landscapes of Western Australia.
In Germany, Adina Frankfurt Neue Oper is undergoing a 12-month refurbishment program that commenced in January. The project covers the hotel's 134 apartments and public areas. Planned interiors include ethically sourced timber and stone, warm lighting, furnishings, artwork from local and Australian artists, upcycled decor and redesigned public spaces.
In Hungary, Adina Budapest has completed a nine-month refurbishment program covering 75 guest rooms in the main wing and public spaces. The redesign includes earth tones, olive-toned ceilings and yellow highlights.
The investment program also includes the rollout of new Adina brand activations and implementation of a digital Guest Experience Platform across the portfolio. New Adina hotels are opening in Brisbane, Hobart, Cambridge and Glasgow.
Further refurbishment projects are planned for apartment-style properties in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and Singapore.
