Met Éireann warns of ‘very changeable' and wet weather but sunny spells on the way

Ireland braces for 'very changeable' weather, with a mix of rain and sunshine, Met Éireann has said. Met Éireann meteorologist Linda Hughes said Ireland will see mixed weather in the coming days. 'The weather will be very changeable for the rest of the week and into next week, with some dry and bright days followed in turn by wet or showery ones,' she told the daily weather podcast. She said Thursday morning will be cloudy and blustery, with outbreaks of rain across most of the country. 'The rain will gradually clear eastwards through the morning, leaving the east coast in the early afternoon,' she said. 'The rain will be followed by scattered showers and lighter winds. Highest temperatures on Friday will range between 15 and 18C. 'The next spell of wet weather arrives then on Friday night, along with blustery conditions,' she said. 'Outbreaks of rain will become widespread by Saturday morning, along with fresh and gusty southwest winds, lasting for much of Saturday morning. 'A clearance will start to move in from the northwest through the afternoon though, with highs of 17 to 21C. 'On Sunday then is likely to be a mostly dry but fairly cloudy day to follow, with just light breeze,' she added.
