SAN ANTONIO – The Texas Department of Public Safety said two men were arrested Monday after a chase on the Southwest Side. In a preliminary report obtained by KSAT, the department identified the men as Jorge Samy Castellon Soriano, 32, and Jose Manuel Moreno Mariano, 29. Recommended Videos A DPS trooper attempted a traffic stop on a Honda passenger vehicle around 10:10 a.m. following a traffic violation on Kyle Street, the report states. The driver of the Honda, identified as Soriano, allegedly fled in the vehicle, troopers said. A pursuit followed and eventually ended on Mallard Street after Soriano and Mariano fled on foot into a nearby residential area, according to the report. The department said that Soriano was taken into custody after a short foot pursuit. With the assistance of DPS Aircraft Operations, Mariano was also located and arrested. Soriano was charged with evading arrest or detention with a motor vehicle and evading arrest or detention on foot, DPS said. Mariano was charged with evading arrest or detention on foot, the report states. No injuries occurred throughout the duration of the incident. Further information was not readily available.
