Two Kingston men have been charged with felonies after, state police said, they, along with a Catskill man, attacked another individual at the Dutchess County Fair last month. According to state police at Rhinebeck, back on Saturday, Aug. 29, at approximately 8:47 p.m., troopers responded to a call of a fight in progress at the fair. When troopers and personnel from the state police Bureau of Criminal Investigation got there, they found a 29-year-old male victim, bleeding from his face and with significant swelling to his left eye. Troopers said that while the victim was waiting to board a ride, he was assaulted by three males identified as Ryan A. Depew, 32, of Catskill, Lloyd D. Depew, 31, of Kingston and Dennis J. Appollonia, 36, also of Kingston. The victim was transported to Kingston HealthAlliance Hospital for treatment of what police said were 'serious physical injuries.' Appollonia was arrested the next day and charged with felony second-degree gang assault and three counts of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child. Following arraignment, he was sent to Dutchess County Jail on $5,000 cash bail. The day after that, Ryan Depew and Lloyd Depew were arrested and also charged with felony second-degree gang assault and three counts of misdemeanor endangering the welfare of a child.
