Renoir Museum on French Riviera Targeted in Artwork Heist (2)

A pair of thieves broke into a Renoir museum on the French Riviera, making away with two paintings and dropping two others as they fled the scene of the latest in a string of heists that have exposed security lapses at galleries across Europe. The stolen works were impressionist painter Pierre-Auguste Renoir's Madame Colonna Romano and Young Woman at the Well, while Madame Pichon and Coco Reading were left in the museum garden, the Marseille prosecutor's office said in a statement.
