Hinkson Happy Hour Brings Nature Walks, Local Beer & Family Fun to Capen Park

Spend a Friday evening exploring one of Columbia's beautiful outdoor spaces during Hinkson Happy Hour 2026 on Friday, September 25, from 5-7 p.m. Local Motion is teaming up with Greenbelt Land Trust of Mid-Missouri and the CoMo Trail Association for this family-friendly event beginning at Capen Park. Guests will have the opportunity to take guided nature walks through the Hinkson Valley Nature Preserve and enjoy time outdoors along the Hinkson Creek Trail. Registration is $30 per person and includes an exclusive 2026 Hinkson Happy Hour reusable steel pint cup along with a craft beer tasting from a local brewery. A nonalcoholic root beer option will also be available, making the event welcoming for kids and guests who don't drink alcohol. There will also be a scavenger hunt for all ages, adding a little extra adventure to the evening.
