PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – Next time you pop a cold IPA, keep in mind the hard work it takes to grow and process hops.
Right now, harvest season is underway for many of our local farms in the Willamette Valley, a time that marks a tremendous effort to get the hops from a plant to the barrel for brewing.
Kohr Harlan visited Westwood Farms in Gervais to give us a behind-the-scenes look at this year's crops and how they are processed for beer-making.
