Emmerdale viewers divided over huge Sarah and Charity confrontation, but Sarah's not done yet

After Charity confessed the truth to Sarah at the end of Friday night's episode (September 4), viewers had waited with bated breath all weekend to find out how Sarah would react. The result tonight saw some intense scenes as they argued, but while many loved the dynamic, some were disappointed. However, rest assured, this is not where it ends… Charity confessed everything to Sarah (Credit: ITV) Sarah finds out the truth On Friday night Sarah was feeling so guilty about killing Dr Todd and letting Charity take the fall for it, she asked Mack to drive her to the police station so she could confess. But Charity stopped her in her tracks by confessing the truth: baby Leyla does not belong to Sarah and Jacob. Absolutely reeling as things picked up in the same spot tonight, Sarah asked what on earth Charity was talking about. Going back inside, bit by bit Charity told Sarah everything. She even confessed Ross was the father. Sarah insisted she was going to tell Jacob everything, but when she saw her husband with the baby, she couldn't go through with breaking his heart. Instead, she summoned everyone involved and told them they would keep the truth hidden and she and Jacob would bring up Leyla. As for Charity? Sarah wants nothing more to do with her. She told her she wanted her out of her life for good. Some felt the reveal and subsequent scenes were brilliant and fetured strong performances. But others were not impressed and thought it was a complete let down. 'Fantastic scenes between Emma Atkins and Katie Hill in tonight's,' shared one on social media. Another agreed: 'Finally Sarah telling Charity some home truths.' A third added: 'Charity and Sarah were brilliant.' However on the other side of the fence, one commented: ' The dialogue in today's Emmerdale was so pro Charity it's not even funny. Listing each event like it's some kind of justification for her betrayal and lies. There is zero excuse for what she did to Sarah, ZERO.' 'Charity is destroying Sarah's life and maybe even her marriage but hey, she's the bad guy. Why does it always have to be poor Charity when it's entirely her own fault ? Sarah deserves better,' added a second. A third called the whole thing 'deflating', adding: 'The entire Dingle family could've turned on her at an event. Why cook it for so long just to blurt it out roadside? With hardly anybody around.' 'It seems like a waste of time and of a build up. All this time for her just to blurt it out in the street with not many people around,' agreed someone else. And another wrote: 'Most anti-climatic ep of E mmerdale I've watched. Katie Hill, who plays Sarah, has revealed: 'I won't give too much away, but Sarah is not messing around. She wants Charity to face the consequences.
