Man arrested after Enniskillen crash that resulted in calf death

A man has been arrested following a road traffic collision in Enniskillen which resulted in the death of a calf. The crash happened on the Coa Road at around 7pm on Sunday evening, September 6. Police had launched an appeal for information following the incident, after a grey car was involved in the collision and was subsequently located. The PSNI had also expressed concern for the welfare of two men believed to have been travelling in the vehicle, who had not initially been located. A search operation was carried out in the area as officers attempted to establish what had happened to the occupants. The collision also resulted in the death of a calf, which was in the area at the time of the incident. Police have now confirmed that a man in his 30s has been arrested in connection with the collision. He was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs, criminal damage, failing to stop, remain and report an accident, and having no insurance. The man has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
