QUETTA, Nov 03 (APP): Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has paid tribute to the security forces for carrying out successful operations against terrorists allegedly backed by India in Balochistan, saying the elimination of 17 militants had foiled the nefarious designs of anti-state elements. In a statement issued on Tuesday, the chief minister said the operation reflected the professionalism, bravery and effective strategy of the security forces. He added that the sacrifices and achievements of the armed forces in the fight against terrorism were a source of pride for the entire nation. Sarfraz Bugti said terrorist elements were attempting to spread unrest in Balochistan and disrupt the peace and stability of the province, but state institutions remained fully committed to defeating their designs with determination and strength. The chief minister also paid tribute to Sepoy Hikmatullah, who embraced martyrdom while courageously confronting terrorists. He said the soldier had set a remarkable example of duty, courage and patriotism by sacrificing his life for the country. 'The nation will always remember the sacrifice of its brave son,' he remarked. He said the officers and personnel of the security forces were a valuable national asset, serving on the front lines for the country's defence and the protection of its citizens without regard for their own lives. Their sacrifices, he added, constituted a proud chapter in the nation's history. Sarfraz Bugti reaffirmed that operations against terrorist elements allegedly operating with Indian support would continue until their complete eradication, and no conspiracy against peace and stability in Balochistan would be allowed to succeed. The chief minister further said that the war against terrorism was not the responsibility of a single institution but a collective national struggle. He said the people stood firmly behind their security forces and that the sacrifices of the martyrs would not be allowed to go in vain. He reiterated the provincial government's commitment to taking all necessary measures to ensure lasting peace in Balochistan, protect the lives and property of citizens, and strengthen the writ of the state throughout the province.
