Kai Trump's second round of college golf was 2 shots better in the Golfweek Fall Challenge

After opening her college career with a round of 7-over 78 on Sunday, Kai Trump was two shots better on Monday. Starting on the second nine, Trump opened bogey-birdie before three straight pars. A double-bogey on 16 dropped her to 2 over on the day and 9 over overall. After making the turn, she posted bogeys on Nos. 1, 6 and 9 to sign for a second-round 76. She's at 12 over, 17 shots off the lead. A freshman at Miami, Trump is making the 2026 Golfweek Fall Challenge her college golf debut. She's in the field as an individual, one of two Miami players competing as individuals. The event is being held at the Caledonia Golf & Fish Club in Pawleys Island, South Carolina. Trump was tied for 102nd after Day 1 and improved her standing to T-92 when she was done with Day 2. There are 120 players in the field. The Golfweek Fall Challenge has 23 teams. There are no Power Four squads in the lineup. Alexis Faieta of North Carolina Wilmington leads at 5 under. High Point leads in the team standings.
