Coffee lovers will have eight days to explore cafés, restaurants, bakeries and bars across Annapolis when Café Diem: The Annapolis Coffee Crawl returns from September 27 through October 4.
Visit Annapolis & Anne Arundel County is bringing the event back for a second year following its inaugural run, with more than 30 participating locations offering coffee, espresso drinks, seasonal specialties, and coffee-inspired cocktails. The crawl coincides with National Coffee Day on September 29.
'Dolly Parton famously sang about pouring herself a 'cup of ambition',' said Kristen Pironis, CEO of Visit Annapolis & Anne Arundel County. 'Her optimism, authenticity, and belief in bringing people together have inspired generations, and Café Diem captures that same spirit by encouraging residents and visitors to discover new favorites, connect with local businesses and each other, and experience the vibrant café culture in Annapolis.'
How the Annapolis Coffee Crawl Works
Participants can register for a free Café Diem digital pass and use it to check in at participating businesses throughout the week. The mobile pass is powered by Bandwango, the same platform Visit Annapolis & Anne Arundel County uses for its Be Revolutionary: America250 Exploration Trail.
Participants who complete six qualifying check-ins will become eligible for prizes. Check-ins are limited to one per location each day, encouraging people to visit multiple businesses during the eight-day crawl.
The first 50 people to complete six qualifying stops will receive an exclusive Café Diem hat. Everyone who reaches six check-ins will also be entered into a drawing for a coffee-themed prize basket featuring items and donations from participating cafés, restaurants and bars.
Participants can also share photos from the crawl on Instagram using #CafeDiemAnnapolis for another chance to win a basket of coffee-related prizes.
Some businesses will also offer Café Diem specials or promotions during the event.
