All change for visiting locomotives at Severn Valley gala

The Severn Valley Railway has released an update on their upcoming Autumn Steam Gala, which is set to take place between the 17th and 20th September 2026. Both previously announced visitors, BR Standard 4 Tank No. 80097 and GWR Small Prairie No. 5526, are no longer attending the gala and have been removed from the line-up due to 'unforeseen circumstances'. The railway says it is grateful to the East Lancashire Railway, Bury Steam Loco Group and South Devon Railway for their efforts to bring the locos in for the gala. In better news, both locomotives have been replaced. LMS 'Scot' No. 46115 Scots Guardsman and GWR '2884' No. 3850 will be visiting thanks to West Coast Railways, the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway and the Dinmore Manor Locomotive Ltd.
