Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and US President Donald Trump have tentatively agreed to hold a face-to-face meeting in September, Ukrainian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi said. Axar.az reports, citing RBC-Ukraine, that Kyiv and Washington are also discussing new ideas and approaches to ending Russia's war in Ukraine, but neither side plans to disclose details of the proposals at this stage. Kyiv is also ready to resume trilateral talks involving Ukraine, the US and Russia, Tykhyi said, although it remains unclear whether Moscow is prepared to return to the format. US special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner visited Moscow and Kyiv over the weekend. Washington subsequently said the talks had made 'substantive progress,' including agreement on a schedule for further trilateral discussions.
