Air Names ServiceNow Veteran Andrej Danko Chief Product and Technology Officer

Air has appointed ServiceNow veteran Andrej Danko chief product and technology officer, putting him in charge of product strategy, engineering and research and development as the defense technology company scales its AI-native Enterprise Readiness platform across the national security market. Danko joins Air from ServiceNow, where he most recently served as vice president and general manager of Global Public Sector Product Management. He brings three decades of software industry experience spanning artificial intelligence, enterprise software, product management, design, engineering and corporate strategy. At Air, Danko will oversee the product roadmap, development and engineering for the company's Enterprise Readiness platform. His responsibilities include all R&D and the continued development of AI capabilities designed to coordinate how national security organizations manage development, production, delivery and sustainment. The appointment comes as Air, formerly known as Govini, expands across the Department of Defense and other government markets. Under CEO Tara Murphy Dougherty, the company has established a presence across every branch of the U.S. military as well as federal civilian agencies, the intelligence community, allied and partner governments, and defense industry suppliers. Air reached unicorn status in 2025 and recently ranked No. 18 on the 2026 NatSec100 list of venture-backed defense and dual-use technology companies. The company recorded the largest upward move of any business on the index during 2026. 'Andrej brings an unmatched combination of deep technical expertise and a proven track record of scaling AI-driven products for the public sector,' Dougherty said. She said his leadership across product and engineering will be important as Air responds to growing demand for its readiness technology. Danko's background at ServiceNow gives Air an executive with direct experience deploying enterprise AI within large government organizations. He led ServiceNow's global public sector AI strategy and product execution, including agentic AI deployments involving the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency and Department of Homeland Security. His work also extended internationally to defense organizations and government customers in NATO member countries, Australia and Singapore. Before ServiceNow, Danko served as vice president of product and design at Productboard. He also held leadership positions at AI company Merlon Intelligence and enterprise software provider SAP. He holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management as well as a Ph.D. and master's degree in Applied Computer Science. The operating challenge Danko inherits extends beyond developing individual AI applications. Air is building its platform around coordinating information and decisions across the defense supply and readiness chain, where development programs, manufacturing capacity, inventories, suppliers, logistics and sustainment activities can operate across separate systems and organizations. Air describes the resulting disconnect as the 'Readiness Gap' between what front-line organizations require and what the broader national security enterprise can deliver. Its Enterprise Readiness platform is designed to bring development, production, delivery and sustainment into a coordinated system. The software provides visibility into capacity and constraints while helping organizations allocate resources and execute against operational requirements. That focus places AI within an operational workflow rather than using it solely for analysis. For defense organizations, the underlying problem involves connecting data on programs, suppliers, production and sustainment so decision-makers can identify bottlenecks and determine whether equipment and capabilities can reach operational units when required. For Air, Danko's experience building AI products for public-sector organizations provides a direct fit with that scaling challenge. His mandate will center on turning the company's growing national security footprint into a repeatable product roadmap while advancing the AI and engineering infrastructure needed to coordinate readiness across increasingly complex defense supply, production and sustainment networks.
