President Abelardo de la Espriella eased Colombia's strict gun laws by lifting a general suspension of permits to carry firearms.
In a decree dated Tuesday, the government ended a blanket national ban, with a few exemptions, and returns the nation to a regime in which valid carry permits can be exercised without additional special authorizations.
