Speed Darlington and Carter Efe to fight in Nigeria

Nigerian content creator and streamer Carter Efe will face rapper and media personality Speed Darlington in the ring on October 1. The celebrity boxing bout will take place at the Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, Nigeria, and will be broadcast live on DAZN, Premium Times Nigeria reports. The fight, titled Chaos in the Ring, will be held on Nigeria's Independence Day. Promoters Balmoral Promotions officially announced it on Sunday. In an Instagram announcement, they said that 'two African stars' would meet in the ring. Carter Efe's previous fight For Efe, this will be his next appearance after defeating singer Habeeb 'Portable' Badmus in May. At the Chaos in the Ring 4 tournament, also held at Balmoral Hall at the Federal Palace Hotel, Efe won by unanimous decision in a three-round bout. All three judges scored it 30:27 in his favor. Speed Darlington's fight with Portable Speed Darlington had already fought Portable in 2025 and lost by technical knockout after being unable to continue the bout in the second round. Before the fight, a public dispute arose between the artists: according to the outlet, Darlington offered Portable 500,000 naira to perform at the event, but the singer declined.
