King Charles confirms Harry, Meghan remain non-working royals after UK return

The British royal household has confirmed that Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, and his wife Meghan Markle will remain non-working members of the family following their return to the United Kingdom. Last month, Harry and Meghan announced plans to return to the UK after six years. The couple relocated to California in March 2020 after stepping down from royal duties earlier that year. Their children Archie and Lilibet are also set to start at a British school in September. King Charles had welcomed the opportunity to see the Sussex family regularly, both privately and personally. However, he accepted that the couple will remain non-working royals and private individuals, with no current plans for either Harry or Meghan to resume their official working roles within the royal family. According to the statement, the couple will continue to forgo their royal titles, which they renounced in 2020.
