(Alliance News) - Intesa Sanpaolo Spa said Tuesday it has completed the second tranche of its share buyback program earmarked for the group's incentive plans.
On September 7, the bank bought 9.6m ordinary shares, equal to 0.1% of its share capital, at an average price of €6.7375 each. The total value of the transaction amounts to €64.4m.
The purchases will mainly serve the 2025 incentive system, as well as the 2024 plans, the 2026-2029 long-term plan for financial advisers in the Fideuram networks and, on a residual basis, any severance payments for the early termination of employment relationships.
With the program completed, from September 9, purchases under the buyback announced on June 29 and launched on July 6 may resume.
Intesa Sanpaolo shares closed Tuesday down 0.7% at €6.69 per share.
