Which Temple player will be in Penn State's crosshairs on Saturday?

Temple's defense scored a pair of touchdowns in the Owls' 38-14 victory over Rhode Island last Saturday in Philadelphia. Jamarcus Pierre scored on a 35-yard pick-six in the second quarter and teammate Tyree Alualu returned an interception 63 yards for a touchdown in the fourth quarter. Pierre and Alualu made Temple history, becoming the first pair to score on interceptions in a game in program history. As good as the Owls' defensive effort was in Week 1, an offensive player likely will be in Penn State's crosshairs when the Lions face Temple Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field. Owls running back Keveun Mason produced a career-high 158 yards on 20 carries and scored a pair of touchdowns. The 5-10, 190-pound Mason, a sophomore, will draw plenty of attention from Penn State's front four and starting linebackers Tony Rojas and Kooper Ebel. Rojas and Ebel combined for 10 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, a quarterback pressure and a pass breakup against Marshall. The Lions' defense held the Thundering Herd to 44 yards on 26 attempts, an average of 1.7 yards per carry.
