Wagner Moura's name has once again resurfaced in Marvel's casting discussions, and this time it took a surprising turn. A new rumor claims the actor could still land a major role in the MCU, just not the one fans originally expected. For months, fans heavily linked Moura to one of the iconic villain roles in X-Men history, Mister Sinister. However, Marvel has officially cast Adam Driver as Mister Sinister in the upcoming X-Men reboot. Now, a new rumor from @MyTimeToShineH claims Marvel Studios is still considering the Brazilian actor for a major MCU role. The post did not reveal which MCU character he will be playing. That said, fans should take the rumor with a grain of salt until Marvel Studios makes an official announcement. Wagner Moura is still up for a big role in the MCU. In an interview with ScreenRant, the 50-year-old said Marvel had not contacted him about the role. 'I've been reading these things on the internet, and people are sending that to me,' Moura said. 'But there's nothing. No one contacted me about it.' However, he did leave the door open to joining the Marvel universe. 'I would love it,' he added. Who are playing the mutants in Marvel's X-Men reboot Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige concluded the D23 event by announcing the official cast for the X-Men reboot and its premiere date. The untitled X-Men movie stars Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops/Scott Summers, and Samara Weaving as Emma Frost/White Queen. The star-studded ensemble also includes Christopher Abbott as Professor X/Charles Xavier, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, and Maya Boyd as Storm. Adam Driver rounds out the cast as Nathaniel Milbury, a notable alias of the villainous Mr. Sinister in the comics. Thunderbolts* director Jake Schreier is helming the reboot, which is scheduled to be released in theaters on May 5, 2028.
