Redmond skate park to close this week for maintenance

Starting Tuesday, city crews will be doing resurfacing work on the skate park in Dry Canyon. The city of Redmond posted on its Facebook page Sept. 7 that, weather permitting, the skate park will reopen Sunday, Sept. 13. 'Thank you for your patience as crews conduct maintenance work and repair skate park surface and edges,' city staff wrote. The repair work comes as kids return to school this week following summer break. Redmond Community Skate Park, which is normally open 7 a.m. to dusk, has skate dots, rails, dips and a water fountain. The skate park was built in 2001 by Oregon-based Dreamland Skateparks.
