National gas prices hit Labor Day record high amid 6-month Iran war

(ABC 6 News) – The ongoing U.S. conflict with Iran recently surpassed the six-month mark, and it has led to record-high gas prices this Labor Day. Farhad Kosari left Iran when he was 20 years old and now lives in Rochester. He said he believes it is in the best interest of the U.S. and the world for the Iranian government to be overturned. 'My biggest worry or nightmare is that because the gasoline prices are a little bit high, $0.10 up or whatever, people would pressure the government and that pressure eventually cause some wavering,' said Farhad Kosari. The national average for gas prices climbed to $4.14 heading into the weekend, which AAA said is the highest ever recorded for this time of year.
