Five Future Queens Of Europe We Will See In Our Lifetime We learn about Kings, Queens, Princes & Princesses in history classes, books, movies and tv. While many monarchies no longer exist, some do exist, which makes it fascinating to those of us who live in countries where monarchies have never been or have been abolished. Currently Europe has more Kings on the throne but their daughters who are crown princesses of these 5 countries will be the ruling Queens and the fun part is, we'll get to see this in our lifetime. These countries were previouslyagnatic primogenitureonly favoring ruling male heirs but would eventually change toabsolute primogenituremeaning that the eldest child regardless of being born male or female, can now rule. Princess Lenor of Spain Princess of Asturias Princess Leonor of Spain was born on October 31st, 2005. Princess Leonor of Spain who's also known as Princess of Asturias has begun attending university on September 8th, 2026. Leonor is the daughter of King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia. Leonor had recently finished military training for the past three years. For the next four years, the Princess of Asturias will be studying Political Science.The degree will see her explore subjects including political theory, law, history, sociology, economics and international relations, providing a foundation for the responsibilities that await her as Spain's future sovereign. Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden Princess Victoria of Sweden is the eldest child and eldest daughter of King Carl XVI of Sweden and his wife Queen Silvia. Princess Victoria is the eldest princess out of this list as most of the crown princesses mentioned are Gen Z. Victoria was born in 1977. If/when Victoria is crowned, she will be the first reigning Queen in the House of Bernadotte since 1818. Victoria completed military training and takes part in offices of Swedish government in several countries. Victoria is married to her personal trainer Daniel Westling and they have two children, Princess Estelle born on February 23rd, 2012, and Prince Oscar born on March 2nd2016. Estelle will be the next Queen after Victoria. Princess Amalia of The Netherlands Princess of Orange Princess Amalia of The Netherlands also known as The Princess of Orange, was born on December 7th, 2003. Amalia is the eldest daughter of King Willem-Alexander & Queen Maxima. Amalia knows Spanish as well as Dutch & English, since her mother Maxima is from Argentina. Amalia earned her bachelor's degree in politics, Psychology, Law and Economics from The University of Amsterdam. This is all in preparation for when she will become the next Queen of the Netherlands. The last time The Netherlands had a ruling Queen was Amalia's grandmother, Queen Beatrix who reigned from April 30th, 1980, until abdicating the throne on, April 30th, 2013. Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway Since the death of King Harald V on August 28th, 2026, his son King Haakon VIII is now King of Norway. Haakon's eldest daughter Ingrid Alexandra became Crown Princess Ingrid Alexandra. Ingrid was born on January 21st, 2004. Ingrid is the eldest daughter of Haakon and the second eldest of Queen Mette-Marit. Mette-Marit had a son from a previous relationship before meeting Haakon. The Crown Princess's new responsibilities since the death of her grandfather, Herald had come at an extraordinary part of her life. Last year, Ingrid swapped Oslo for Sydney Australia, getting a Bachelor of Arts Degree at the University of Sydney focusing on international relations and political economy.This autumn, however, she has returned closer to home for a semester at the University of Oslo, where her studies include comparativepoliticsand conflict resolution.Something else that is significant is Ingrid Alexandra will be Norway's first reigning Queen in over 600 years since the reign of Queen Margret I of Norway, Sweden & Denmark from 1380 (Norway) 1375 (Denmark) & 1389 (Sweden) until her death on October 28th, 1412. Princess Elisabeth of Belgium Duchess of Brabant Princess Elisabeth of Belgium was born on October 25th, 2001 & is the eldest child and daughter of King Phillippe & Queen Mathilde of Belgium. Elisabeth is multilingual and fluent in Dutch, French, German and English.Princess Elisabeth is currently studying for a Master in Public Policy at Harvard University (Harvard Kennedy School) in Cambridge in the United States. In July 2024, she obtained a bachelor's in history & politics at Lincoln College, a college of Oxford University in the United Kingdom. In 2020, she obtained her International Baccalaureate at UWC Atlantic College in Wales. In July 2021, she completed her year in Social and Military Sciences at the Royal Military Academy in Belgium.Elisabeth regularly returns to Belgium taking part in public life and duties with her parents. In September of 2011 Elisabeth completed her first official activity with the inauguration of the Princess Elisabeth Children's Hospital in the pediatric wing of the University Hospital of Ghent. Eight years later in June of 2019, Elisabeth accompanied her mother, Queen Mathilde on a humanitarian field visit to Kenya which was organized by UNICEF.An introductory course at the Permanent Representation of Belgium to the United Nations in New York completed this mission.
